The Macer Isostatic Plate can be installed in practically any type of mold. It has an internal hydraulic system that connects all the magnetic blocks achieving the hydraulic compensation that, consequently, minimizes the number of gauges produced between holes of the same mold, as well as allows a minimum but sufficient tilting to minimize other types of defects such as lunettes, scratches, etc.
Currently, in the Double Mold or SFS Mold, it is preferable to install this type of compensations in the upper plate. It is preferable to install it on the lower part since it can unbalance the cavity load.
The Isostatic Plate is a much more complex technical solution than other top plates. This is due to the fact that the upper part of a double mold is in charge of the extraction, by means of double-acting pistons incorporated inside, which implies a more complex circuit configuration. This is why, due to the reduced space, integrating another independent circuit adds complexity to its design and manufacturing.
