The Penetrant Mirror Mould, also known as ‘semi-mirror’ or ‘semi-entry’, is an innovative mould type in the ceramic industry. This unique design sits between the entry mould and the mirror mould, incorporating features of both to improve the efficiency and quality of the final product.
In the Entry Mirror Mould, the lower part resembles the traditional mirror mould. The main difference lies in the upper part, where the upper punches are inserted to a predefined depth, limited by stops in the upper plate. This limitation significantly reduces the stress on the part during extraction and minimises wear on the liners and punches
Opting for the Entry Mirror Mould in ceramic manufacturing is a strategic decision that combines efficiency and quality. Its ability to facilitate the smooth extraction of the pieces, together with its versatility and economic cost compared to alternative systems, makes it a preferential option for those seeking to optimise their production and enhance the aesthetics of their ceramic products.
