The spectacular evolution of the ceramics sector in the province and the great reception we received at Macer from the sector led to an evolution of our installations and technology in parallel with the growth of the sector. We enlarged our facilities to double the surface area of the workshop and to be able to attend to the needs of all our customers.
We reached the quarter of a century mark, and to celebrate it, Rosana Zaera, a renowned designer and artist from Castellón, was commissioned to redesign the brand to commemorate the anniversary, which would be implemented in completely renovated facilities, with the extension of the workshop and the construction of the current entrance and office area.
In 2004 we created the R&D department, with the intention of giving continuity and space to the multitude of developments that were taking place in the field of moulds. Some of its first patents were the hydraulic punches, the powder protection frame, and different lines of development focused on increasing the quality of the part obtained, making fewer cleaning stops on the press lines and developing more resistant and durable moulds.
After the acquisition of the warehouse adjacent to Macer 3, we carried out an extension of the same together with the reform of the Atecer showroom, acquired in 1999, but whose offices were still separate from the rest of the facilities, and that at last, was integrated into the Macer facilities.
In the middle of the pandemic we joined the board of trustees of the Universitat Jaume I - Empresa Foundation, being already regular collaborators of the Universitat Jaume I, with whom we had been collaborating in different teaching activities such as the first courses on pressing created in 2006. We are also patrons of the Master's Degree given by the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC), an associated company of the Association of Ceramic Technicians, among other institutions in the sector.
