Bulk density control through x-ray absorption
Densexplorer is a machine which allows the bulk density of ceramic tiles to be measured by x-rays for the industrial production plant.
Through Densexplorer, the distribution of densities of large or small format pieces may be determined in a non-destructive way; that is, without harming health, while being environmentally friendly, and increasing the productivity of the process thanks to its speed and the large amount of information provided.
The system is based on the x-ray absorption technique, in which a material absorbs a quantity of radiation depending on its thickness and density.
